Amy Evans, from Winsford, has been marking her own stamp on the world of women’s darts
by already having an impressive list of achievements being aged just sixteen. First getting
into darts with her mum, Sally, who took her along to a local darts team in 2019, Amy has
set herself the goal of being a future world champion just like good friend Beau Greaves.
Since starting her darting journey, Amy has already made it into the Cheshire Ladies A Team,
where she plays alongside her mum, who plays in the B Team.
Amy attended her first competition in March 2020, where she made it to the final of the
Yorkshire Classic (Seniors County). Throwing the Mission Nightfall arrows in 24g, Amy has
made an enormous impact in a short space of time! She is currently ranked eighth in the
WDF Girls rankings and has beaten some big names in the world of darts including former
ten times women’s world champion Trina Gulliver.
A full list of the rankings can be found here:
During lockdown, Amy took advantage of the online darts scene which grew her game to
the next level. She was noticed by England darts who selected her to play against Wales and
Hungary, in which she won all her matches.
2022 saw a year of success for Amy as she won the Isle of Man girls title and was also
appointed as the England Girls Captain! The Tri-Nations event saw Captain Amy lead the
England girls to victory, where she then continued this form in the Europe Cup in Hungary,
seeing her seal England’s overall win through victory in a pairs game. She further made the
finals of the Europe Cup, losing to a fantastic Italian player, whom she has since become
great friends with. Amy was also a finalist in the 2022 Welsh Open, where she lost 3-2
missing darts at a double to win!
Below is a list of Amy’s current achievements:
- 2022 Isle of Man Girls Champion
- 2022 England Girls Captain
- Tri-Nation’s winner (England)
- Europe Cup Finalist
- 2022 Welsh Open Finalist
- England Classic Girls Finalist

Amy has achieved a lot so far in darts while tackling some heavy personal circumstances
regarding mum Sally’s health and an unfortunate amount of bullying. In conversation with
me, Sally said that she is ‘’so proud of the beautiful and caring young lady’’ that Amy has
become despite these circumstances. Amy is one to keep an eye on for a long time, as she
continues her journey developing as a player and competing in a variety of tournaments
including the PDC Women’s Series.
Best of luck, Amy!
